Lapland Santa Claus Trips

And that's because they want / need the money... Not because they want us to go and enjoy our once in a lifetime trip.Thrugelmir said:In August not sure how anybody could have answered your questions. Simply too far away.
The trips won't be cancelled until they have to be.
I know it's not the travel companies fault but neither is it the customers...0 -
You do realise many people have enjoyed going away while restrictions are in place because it's allowed them to visit popular places without the crowds. It certainly won't be chaos because the local government will only allow such trips to go ahead if suitable measures can be put in place.ConfuZee said:
It wouldn't be a nice break or a trip of a lifetime going to Lapland during a pandemic... I expect it will be chaos!!mattyprice4004 said:If it’s going ahead, you’re not missing anything - you’ll either have to suck it up and cancel or keep going forward with your fingers crossed.Things are changing daily, it’s too early to know what the restrictions will be this time next week let alone in December.Personally I’d still plan on going and deal with it nearer the time, but then I’d be keen for any break from this even if the itinerary had changed a little
Just like everything else at the minute...1 -
I'm sure most travel companies do want you to go on the trip of a lifetime and to really enjoy it because if that happens you'll more likely to book with them again.ConfuZee said:

It is good to see it from another perspective... I suppose I was really worried that the experience would be awful... It's not a cheap do and as they couldn't offer any reassurance I felt cancelling was our only option.
I thought of so many 'what if' scenarios and had so many questions left unanswered by the travel company that I didn't have confidence in them to provide a good experience.
It wasn't a risk I was prepared to take for the kids.
Thank you
