Incorrect meter, switch and ET query
Hi Ive moved into the property few months ago and tried to switch straight away. New supplier and database is showing property with prepayment but its credit meter, ive contacted my current supplier and they are saying that would be classed as erroneous transfer And will be passed back to my old supplier but old supplier also have the incorrect details and I dont want to move to old supplier.
Can anyone Pls advise what are My options? Thanks.

Welcome to the forum. When you move in, you always have to register with the existing supplier(s) and send them an opening reading. You have no choice because you entered into an expensive 'deemed' contract the moment you turned on a light or lit the gas.Once registered, you can then switch to the supplier of your choice. You'll have to pay the existing supplier for the energy you used during those few months. You can find out who is currently supplying you by asking your DNO and visiting Find My Gas Supplier. Separate suppliers are often cheaper.0

The OP already knows who his existing supplier is.
Unfortunately, he'll now be landed with a bill from them for several months expensive standard variable tariff. No free lunch, and no free laptop1
