Trying to pay off Iva early

Good morning.  We have 18 months left on our iva and my parents have offered to ‘gift’ the money to close it.  We were with vanguard but we have been transferred to ebenegate.  Ebenegate have told us that they do not have our file from vanguard so nothing can be done until the new year, leaving us in limbo. Is this right? They have also sent us paper work as if we are starting from scratch.  We have no access to our supervisor.  And it is causing a lot of stress for us. Please advise if you can, many thanks Becky

Why are your stressing out, nothing has changed for you.  I would write a letter stating your early settlement offer, where the funds are coming from and wait until they can reply with a yes or no.

It doesnt happen overnight and it certainly wont happen quickly in these lockdown times.
  • Hi Becky by rights they should of given you a copy from vanguard if they don’t have your file how can they say you owe them money. It can cause of overpayment from yourself. Think there telling fibs here. I would personally write a letter or email aswell saying you like to close your account in full.
