Buying Premium Bonds Help please

Hi, I have some premium bonds from years ago and wanted to buy some more before the end of this month. I have just applied to open an online account using my premium Bond holders number. I have since tried to log in but it's saying that my NS& I number s in the wrong format.
When I created the account there was no way of adding an email address and I was half expecting an email to verify the account.
If my Holders number isn't my NS&I number....where does that come from?
Online Chat and the Phone helpline are impossible

I had the same problem a few months ago.  I eventually managed to get through on phone and was told I could buy bonds using bank transfer and quoting my holders number as the reference which I successfully did.  I was sent a form to complete to register for an NS&I number. After sending off the form it took a couple of months before I received my number so don't bank on a quick response unless things have improved!

You need your NS&I number not your PB holders number. It's an 11 digit number starting with 11, 21, 31 or 41
If you can't find your NS&I number click the Forgotten your NS&I number? link
