All i need is a website that i can select my existing supplier and i want it to output the deals available quite simply based on the standing charges and the pence per KW . I dont need them to project, take into account being moved onto standard tarriffs when mine ends and all sorts of other smoke and mirrors. I just need simple maths.
Feudal Britain needs land reform. 70% of the land is "owned" by 1 % of the population and at least 50% is unregistered (inherited by landed gentry). Thats why your slave box costs so much..

Strange request.  The available deals won't depend on your existing supplier, unless it's a special deal from your own supplier that's not available to existing customers.  Obviously, many of these deals won't be competitive, but you can't find out without entering your expected usage and doing the sums yourself.  That's a vast amount of work !
Why not let the price comparison sites do all the leg work and just list the suppliers in order of annual cost?  Just ignore all the claims and projections.
Start with Citizens Advice and 'Switch with Which?' becasue they show the whole of the market by default.

I just use the MSE Cheap Energy Club. Has my current info built-in, then it tells me when its time to move (i.e. current deal has ended or just generally a cheaper deal). So easy.

Just select 'compare all providers' and 'compare to my existing tariff'.
No free lunch, and no free laptop ;)

Unfortunately, the CEC doesn't do what it says on the tin: it doesn't show all suppliers.  You'll never find Neon Reef listed, you can't even choose it as your existing supplier, and you won't be notified if your existing supplier becomes more expensive than NR.  Similarly, Avro seems to disappear and reappear for some strange reason.

When I tried the which? one it said I hadn't input my current suppliers yet I had. Odd.

I use Which and always works well and gives unbiased list. Could also use Citizens Advice comparison

Sounds like you're blocking cookies or whatever.  Relax your settings or try a different browser.  You could try Energylinx (which powers Which?) but it doesn't show all suppliers by default.

I don't know where you're looking Gerry but Neon Reef is listed on CEC as an existing supplier and gives Reef1 under "See all deals"
Never pay on an estimated bill. Always read and understand your bill

About time too !  That's only happened in the last few days, but better late than never.  However, it's only one cheer because, although the CEC site has been redesigned, it's still broken.
    • Yes, Neon Reef is finally showing up, but Avro has completely disappeared from the results.
    • I still can't enter Neon Reef as my electricity supplier, so I won't be notified if a cheaper deal comes along.
    • Similarly, I can't enter my gas tariff as British Gas Fixed Price Aug 2021v7.
    • The list of suppliers on the drop down menu is well out of date, it still shows defunct suppliers such as Iresa.
It's obviously still a Work In Progress.
Update: Neon Reef can now be chosen as your existing electricity supplier.

The reason why i asked is because im not locked into a contract, i have no exit fees etc so every time i run comparisons i have to unpick the new tariff, do the maths etc ,it all takes time. I'm sure i found a clean comparison site a while back but cant trawl it up now,,maybe i imagined it..  By the way, one thing you have to look out for when choosing an energy supplier is to make sure they have a PEMS contract in place for the gas. Many smaller operators do not. PEMS means post emergency metering services. If you suffer a metering issue due to fault, leakage, failure, whatever and there is a PEMS contract in place, the gas emergency service will do whatever metering work is required and internally bill your supplier/metering operator and you will not have any issues. No PEMS in place? they'll cut you off and walk and you will have to contact your supplier. Many suppliers close at 5pm and often cant be contacted weekends.
