Discharged DRO 3 years ago but can’t get PCP.
Options
I was forced into DRO January 2017 thanks to ex business partner. I’m back working full time as a director of a UK LTD company. We are making a good profit, paying good tax and in general doing very well so I approached a car dealer for a PCP with a good deposit etc. My credit score is above average but I do have this DRO hanging over me. I was discharged from DRO January 2018. That’s 2 months off three years as of writing this. I was of course refused. My question is now: could or should I approach another dealer or is there a better way? It’s infuriating as I’ve done so dammed well recovering from this mess and can’t finance a basic car! Would welcome advice from anyone who’s found themselves in the same situation. Thanks.

Why not try traditional finance rather than PCP, and go via a broker who specialises in dealing with situations like yours?
Maybe try the Debt Free Wannabe board here - there'll be people there who'll be able to offer constructive advice.0 -
I hear you and thanks but I’ve also done a huge amount of research on the best way to buy one given a set of criteria unique to my needs and PCP seems best. That said, I will of course look at what you say too. Thank you.0

Forget the credit score that means nothing to a lender as they do not see it.
It is the DRO that is the issue & that will be there for 6 years on your credit file.Life in the slow lane0 -
They don't see it, because it's fictitous...No free lunch, and no free laptop0
