Cost to trim sink hole in quartz

We have a quartz worktop with an undermount sink. We want to get rid of the undermount and put a normal sink. Unfortunately we can't find a 1.5 sink that will fit in the hole we currently have. Every single one is about 2cm too wide.
The other option we are looking at is to see if a quartz fitting company would come out and take a couple of cm off one side.
Is this something which is doable in situ? Or a crazy idea.

I don't see why this can't be done in situ - with an angle grinder or a circular saw with a diamond disc. Inner corners are tricky, but doable - with an angle grinder. Whether the company will be willing to do this, is another question, but even a person with good DIY skills can do it.
  • That's good to know that it should be possible Grumbler. Thank you.
I wondered too, as you say, if a company would be willing to come and do it as most of their work would be in fitting the whole worktop.
Will find a couple of local firms and see if we can get quotes.
