APCOA Car parking fine

Hi,
I have been issued with 2 car parking fines from APCOA parking from parking in. Tesco car park dated back from early September 2020. I believe the tills where you verify your car parking was not on, but I haven’t got proof of this. Has anyone got any suggestions on how to appeal for these? Thank you in advance!

They are not fines, pleasw  read the newbies.

Nine times out of ten these tickets are scams, so consider complaining to your MP, sometimes it can lead to cancellation.,

Parliament is well aware of the MO of these private parking companies, many of whom are former clampers. On 15th March 2019 a Bill was enacted to curb the excesses of these shysters. Codes of Practice are being drawn up, and hopefully this will become law shortly

First job is complaining to Tesco , known as plan A , that is your best option , even if it's an email to the CEO of Tesco !!

Plan B is appealing to the claimant , see the announcements section , 4th post down , the newbies FAQ sticky thread near the top of the forum , the one you have not read !!

If the vehicle is yours , your V5C , appeal to apcoa as keeper using the blue text template , no blabbing about who was driving

APCOA ones are easy to beat - no keeper liability as their NtK fails to meet PoFA requirements. Use the blue text template as advised by @Redx, remove the paragraph about PDT machine and replace with:

'As your Notice to Keeper fails to meet the requirements of the Protection of Freedoms Act 2012 (Schedule 4) in order for you to hold the registered keeper liable, I require confirmation that this charge is now cancelled'.

Send a separate appeal for each PCN.

How helpful Tesco will be is debatable. They weren't prepared to help the Welsh woman today at her 'time of the month'!

Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I've just had one from APCOA too for a train station car park (Chiltern Railways).  I've read the info on the main website but I don't think I have any evidence to approve it.  You have to pay on a touchscreen machine, I always pay (I do this once every 4 months to catch the train to a hospital appointment & have been doing so for many years).  I can't find any proof that I paid, I've been through my bank statements & can't see anything on there, not for the train ticket either.  I remember that it was stressful & that I had problems getting the machine to work but can't remember any of the detail of it.  It's making me worry about the next appointment now & getting charged again (I always park there).  I've used this website for years but can't find these stickies - please don't laugh at me - is there a link to them?  Even getting this far is so stressful that I wonder if I should just pay the thing.  I'm a FT carer and haven't got time or energy to take on another battle  :(

You've missed the fact every page you are on has a breadcrumb trail to page 1 of the board you are on, stickies at the top?

See my signature...(it is not a link in itself but describes how top hop back to page 1 of any board you are on.

APCOA ones a a cinch to beat.  Absolute cinch.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Reading and understanding of the stickies is a sine qua non in dealing in these matters.
