Update - I was delighted to receive an email in which the travel insurer (following my complaint) have done a complete about-face and have decided to pay out the full amount of the claim. They have even waived the usual policy excess, as a gesture of good will!! Christmas really has come early this year  Many thanks to those who have given their time and thoughts to my dilemma. Merry Christmas everyone:smiley:
Really happy for you, it's great to see that you've finally had some good news, just a shame that you've had to go through the full process to get it.

    Have a great Christmas :)

  • Thanks. Yes, it was a shame that I had to complain but as the insurer has waived the excess, we've actually benefited financially from having to complain, so all's well that ends well!! Merry Christmas to you too.
