Virgin Money

Has anyone ever got a virgin credit card? If so how do they come in the post? I got it as a balance transfer card and don't want to have to explain to my parents why I have it. I'm 23 and still live at home.

They come through the letter box, PIN first, then card.

The envelopes will be unmarked but it's obvious to anyone picking it up that there's a card in there, unless you live in a high risk area where it may be better disguised.

It'll come in an envelope, you'll get two letters - one containing the card, one containing your PIN, a few days apart.  If your parents see the letters it's not usually immediately obvious what the contents are, they tend to be plain white window envelopes.  But I guess your parents could pick up the envelope and feel that there's a credit-card-sized piece of plastic inside :-)

Banks tend to allow you to say you don't have a secure post box, and then often allow you to visit a branch to collect instead - look out for that option - might be limited to the bigger banks with more branches.

Yes, it comes through the post. They don't use any branding on the envelope, so your parents won't see that it's from Virgin unless they Google the return address on the back. If they feel the card and ask questions, tell them it's a replacement debit card.
