Cleaning up credit file after IVA
I finished my IVA successfully in Aug2020 and the IVA will be removed from my credit file from March 2020. Did a credit check through credit club and wanted some advice. I looked at credit report under credit accounts and found defaulted accounts. Should these be removed by the offending parties or would they be logged as settled or also I noticed that’s the companies taken over the debt default each month should this be removed now that I have my completion certificate from aug 2020.
unsure how my credit file should look

Defaults remain for 6 years regardless of what you do.Assuming all your debts defaulted before you started your IVA, then the defaults should start to dissapear around the same time as your IVA does.Debt camel provide advice here -

The defaults on file show after the iva started as they were debts which were sold to other companies after iva started. Which worried me and wasn’t sure if they would go off after 6 years.0
