Gas safety check/boiler service overdue

Hi guys Coming to the final stages of buying a house, and been sent all the stuff for me to check from my solicitor such as fixtures and fittings list and photocopy of latest gas safety check/boiler inspection. This was last dated in March 2019. I do believe the house was in the process of being sold around March 2020 but…

I haven't had my boiler serviced. Someone came to look at it and got all uppity because it didn't have a separate fuse spur. But said these last forever and are really easy to service. We do have a CO monitor. Apparently the type it is can last for 25 years or more. Can still get the parts. It's not as efficient of course. But l'm happy to keep it going for another 3 years or so as long as it sounds ok and the monitor doesn't go off. Risky yes maybe to some but we are friends with a heating engineer and a plumber so 🤷‍♀️
