Morning everyone 😊 had big work plans for today but dd has just got back from holiday and is bringing my grandbaby to see me 😍 looks like I'll be working late tonight 😂
Re-purposed Sundays leftovers for last night's dinner and made some buckwheat to have with roasted veg from the freezer tonight - I need to plant some more salad leaves as my garden stuff is pretty much dead now 🙈
Spoke to dh last night about getting rid of our prime account and he's on board! 🙌 Doesn't make a huge difference but it's still £7.99 a month that we won't be spending! 😉5 -

Painting nearly finished too 🙂5 -
Morning all!
I hope everyone is keeping safe and well and that your current tier restrictions aren't getting to you too much.
Working from home today as OH needs the car for his work so a bit less petrol used.
Today's small things:
B/L/D from stores
Sewed up a small hole in the toe of my sock - the socks are quite new so def worth fixing
Heating either off or on low. Try to stay warm at desk in other ways. Still, our house is old and solid so if it gets cold, it's a b*gg*r to heat again so better to heat it than let the temp drop right off.
Carry on with socks. Lace pattern starting to become apparent now so I'm getting into the swing of it. Will def need blocking though as they seem to have a tendency to scrunch up vertically.
Ring drs to see about my face. Hoping they can do an app over the phone as am sure I have developed rosacea (sp?) . Very frustrating as I used to have nice clear skin and now it's red and bobbly!
Put jumpers etc in on gentle wash. Wash and block m-i-l's Christmas socks and baby dress made for customer.
Have a good one all

Hi all! I've dug the leeks and leek and potato soup is in the slow cooker. Another couple of coats of paint done. Chucked some soda crystals down the kitchen sink followed by hot water to keep the drains clear. Another load of washing in. Staying in today but annoyingly the rain hasn't materialised. Still, there is always a job around the house that needs doing.5

Afternoon all
Currently lazing in front of the wood stove
Will get on and do some more in a minute though.Dog walk followed by gardening this morning, before the sideways rain and hail appeared. I dug up and moved a large lemon balm, and in its place planted a creeping rosemary that wasn't enjoying life in its (big, heavy) pot. The lemon balm was too big and invasive where it was, but I am hoping it will survive on a little patch adjacent to the path. It will find the heavy clay (original garden soil) vastly different from the much improved soil in the raised bed, but it at least gives it a chance as opposed to putting it into the compost, and if it does survive, it can get as big as it likes there. Also transplanted a self sown foxglove and 2 self sown viola plants (love free plants!) into the new border we made under the workshop windows. Then cleaned the mud off the spade, fork and trowel and put them away, and had a general tidy round and sweep up. Now really need to be doing this in the house as well!Advertised a large garden pot that I won't be using again on FB Marketplace (a pretty terracotta one, but really heavy, and the kind that is narrower at the top than in the middle, making it really hard to get plants out of it) and it sold immediately
And the concrete slabs that I advertised free to collect the other day have gone as well, so a good bit of outside decluttering done.Dinner tonight is going to be jacket potatoes, salad and cold chicken, so I will need to go outside in the rain and cut some salad leaves from the greenhouse. Must also cook some beetroot that have been languishing in the fridge since last week. Hard to leave my comfy fireside chair after all that digging this morning though!5 -
No one here today? I hope you're all ok.
Nothing exciting here but thought I'd say hi!LBM 11/06/2010: DFD 30/04/2013Total repaid: £10,490.316 -
*waves through the rain*
Rainy morning at the beach, free except for petrol but fun. My mental health hasn't been great for the last day or so, so that has done me good.
Sold a couple more things in ebay but going to have a rest from listing this weekend. Not much more to go now to be honest. More books to go to Ziffit, very glad l found that app thanks to someone on here.5
