Landrover 1st car service

Options
I'm wondering if anyone can advise me please.  We have a new Landrover Velar which is leased through our business. It is due a service.  I have called our nearest  Landrover dealership who have quoted £483 for a first service.
My question is, do we need to go to Landrover, or can we take the vehicle to another garage to be serviced? We dont want to incurr any additional charges though, when the car is due to be handed back, at the end of the term.

    Read your lease conditions.
    Simple.

It's not your car. It belongs to the lease company. They get to say who services it.
Break the lease terms, and you will get charged on return.

Remember, too, that getting it serviced outside the dealer chain may maintain the warranty (but the onus is on you to demonstrate the work has been done using genuine parts and to the correct standard), but it will make the claims process more protracted and remove any hope of goodwill for borderline claims.

This is one of the pitfalls of the way cars are marketed at the moment - there are "clever" lease deals that make leasing a Range Rover Velar the same sort of monthly payment as buying a Focus.  Then the other costs such as maintenance, which are all more expensive, come as a shock.  Tyres will be another scare.

EDIT: The OP can shop-around between different Land Rover dealers first to see if there is any variance in quoted price for the service.

483 isn't bad for a service on these High end vehicles-thats not to say its the same as good value.

True.  I got a nail in a tyre of my Range Rover (honestly can't remember if it was my Sport or my Velar) and the replacement cost me over £400.

If paying for a service for the Velar is a concern, you shouldn't have a Velar.

I had four new tyres on my Focus for less than that.  Even more scary, some tyres on the blinged-up option extra large super-low profile wheels would be double again, or more!

No-one tells you this when they sell you the "clever" lease or PCP deal that makes a Bentley cheaper than a Citigo.

The cost of servicing a car is publicly available.  No reason for it to be a surprise.

    Thanks for the advice.
The reason I asked the question is because my paperwork is packed in boxes, due to moving house, and I don't have it to hand to check at present.
Also, the price isn't a concern, it's more the fact as to wether or not we have to significantly use Landrover or not.
To Supersonos - we have a top of the range Velar and also a Ford Transit sport van ( which there are only a few of in the UK) so there is no need for your sarcastic comment.
I was under the impression that the forum was here to help others.

Thrid post down is all you need to know.

Its a brave individual that risks the warranty on a Land Rover by going outside of dealership for servicing.

Do you have to? Nope. Should you? Probably.
A transit sport van eh? Really impressive....why on earth would any one brag about a van?
