We would like to go to Mauritius next March for a special anniversary. Could anyone recommend a good hotel, not too expensive, and what is the weather like during March?
Thanks pop pickers

We went to Mauritius five years ago and got married over there. Beatufil country and lovely people.
We stayed at Berjaya Le Morne....just Google it. Not too expensive, but nice hotel with lovely beach. Have a great time. When life throws you lemons...put them in a gin and tonic !!0 -
Hi
Would you mind if I asked what your budget is
Mauritius is wonderful but some of the cheaper hotels are not very nice. Also March is not really the best time to go it can rain for days you really would be better off trying to go October, November, December when the weather is much nicer.
For good hotels look at Legends 5*, Le Touessrok, Beau Rivage and The Oberoi, none of these however are cheap.
Any questions feel free to ask, we've been a good few times and can highly recomend it, but I would advise you to think about going in a different month, or if you are set on March maybe look at the Maldives better weather at that time of year.0 -
I've stayed at Sugar Beach about 5 years ago - It was nice and clean with good facilities - and reasonably priced. Beaches ar so lovely - who cares what the hotel's like...lol

I stayed at the Sugar beach too in Nov 05 and enjoyed it. The hotel which is next to it is also very good (La Pirogue). Both hotels share some activities like horse riding and water skiing. You can also try the diner buffet of the other hotel for free by just booking at the reception.0

I stayed at the Taj Extoica for our honeymoon (May 06) and must say it was very, very niooce!!! But not cheap.0

We stayed at the Le Canonnier for our honeymoon (see link) and had a fantastic time. It's not cheap, but I don't think Mauritius and cheap go together. It's a luxury resort kinda place.
