Cannot get still bit out of Bosch Drill

Hope video attachment works.

Turning the chuck but it barely moves and then just locks when I press the button that is supposed to enable the jaws to open and close.

Any tips?

Do a search for 'can't get chuck bit out' and you'll see loads of hints and videos. Sure to be some good advice among them.

that looks a little like the drill bit was too large for the drill in the first place, I'd be tempted to try and pull it out with pliers :)

Push the button down really firmly and keep it down firmly. Then wiggle the chuck ring a little. the button may go in a little further then grasp the ring and rotate anti-clockwise while keeping that button down hard.

  • Thanks, tried all these but it isn't budging :/

Have you tried WD40? I would also try to get the drill bit held in a vice. If you don't have a vice, a local garage might let you use theirs or will do the job for you.
The comments I post are my personal opinion. While I try to check everything is correct before posting, I can and do make mistakes, so always try to check official information sources before relying on my posts.

have you tried tapping the 3 jaws gripping the bit with a screwdriver and hammer, one of them may just be jammed.
