Redundancy and sick leave

I have worked for my company for 23 years, I am on 12 weeks redundancy notice. My doctor wants to sign me off with stress due to the situation, I am not sleeping and very tearful, finding working very difficult. I have been told that I am entitled to full pay, is this correct!

If you’re off sick during your notice period and you’re only getting statutory notice (or less than one week over statutory) you should be paid full pay. In your case statutory notice is 12 weeks, so you’re entitled to full pay. This applies even if your contract states you are only entitled to SSP when off sick. Acas have given you the correct information.2
