Sky e-mail

I switched to sky broadband a few months back and apart from a few router problems to start with, it has run fairly smoothly since, the odd server crash now and again but that has usually been fixed ina few hours. I now have a problem they are unable to fix, their techie helpline is totally useless, and they dare not deviate from the scripted 'help'. A few weeks ago they switched to 'google' mail, from what, I have'nt a clue. To be able to pick my mail in outlook express I had to do a few fairly simple things. However, whenever I open outlook, it sometimes tells me I have 6 new messages, but sky mail is only forwarding one or two. I do not have any spam filters in sky mail and the ones its does occasionally forward are totally random. Any one else having problems with sky? I could just go straight to my in box in sky mail but it so cumbersome to open it. Outlook is brilliant, one click and your in. Any one got any ideas.

I'm on Sky, but I don't use their branded Skoogle mail.
I have my own gmail account and simply foreward any Skoogle mail to it, I do the same with other legacy email accounts I had with wanadoo and tiscali.
gmail works fine with outlook express, but I never bother with it myself.
You can download a gmail notifier to let you know when you've got mail without having to open your browser, it don't get much easier than that.
