Are there any good online retailers or am I best going to Howdens .Any to avoid color wise.

Plenty of online retailers - Can't remember who I used for mine. I based my decision on pricing after finding a surface I liked. Most will send you a small sample of the laminate if you ask.One word of caution - Delivery is usually by one man on a big truck to the kerbside only. You will be required (or have a heavy duty helper) to assist with unloading. Worktops are heavy, especially a 4m breakfast bar (f.... heavy).Any language construct that forces such insanity in this case should be abandoned without regrets. –

I rather like my black sparkly quartz. But I live in a soft water area.
If it sticks, force it.
