Morning all, I got up at my normal time but with the change of clocks, it was 4.00. I need to change the clock on the cooker, that has just confused my OH.
It rained most of yesterday but although it was wet earlier, the sun is out now so even if the washing doesn't dry completely, it will be quick to finish off on the racks.
OH needs something from Sainsbobs so he will go later and this means no Sunday paper until he goes out, I know if I walk up to the corner shop, it will rain out of spite.
I'm making lasagne later, with salad. I have all I need for that, but first I'm going to mess about outside, well I already was but came indoors for some tea. Later I'll carry on with baby clothes and mess about indoors.
Hope everyone has a good day and that you get a bit of sunshine.I was jumping to conclusions and one of them jumped back10 -
Morning all, we have heavy rain..... again
I had a lie in this morning hence the late-ish post.
Thank you for all your anniversary and birthday wishes, we all had a lovely day together and we even managed to sort out a few of Dad's problems namely his phone, an electoral register letter and Mr Fix It now has a new project to do for him. He brought over a photograph of me which has hung on the wall in his hall for many years and has now faded badly. It's me in my Nan's garden at about age 2/3 in a white dress with red spots. It was one of the first colour photos that they had and it's sadly faded to more grey and white. Mr Fix It was surprised to see that I had an afro of almost white hair, as did Dad at that age. I'm glad that DM's genes got their act together and it has straightened and darkened it a bit as I've grown older. I was more Harpo Marx than Shirley Temple, which was the look I think they were going forThere are lots of leftovers in the fridge so we won't starve today and I'm going to be busy doing nothing except watching films /TV from the comfort of my sofa....... tomorrow's another day when I can start all over again.Hope everyone can have a goodish Sunday.Take care all, stay safe and wellnan xxFailure is simply the opportunity to begin again, but this time more intelligently11 -
Afternoon everyone
I did tell little one we were going to have an extra hour in bed but she obviously didn't listen! She was up at 6 - so her usual 7 to her. We sat in bed for half an hour and looked at books until I gave up and just got up. At least she's not big enough yet to ask me ....'but what time is it if it was yesterday?' as my 2 DDs used to.
I'm going to do some tidying in the garden as the sun is shining, though there's a cold wind. Other than that a lazy afternoon

Damp, soggy, dull here Chez Nous. Planned visit by DD2 did not happen. We are gearing up to clear out the study. Just how many plastic sleeves does one need? Answers on a postcard, but don't bother, there are so, so, many postcards too. Glue sticks, paper clips, pencil stubs..... the drawers are stuffed. The pens that don't work were sifted out last night watching TV.The dehydrator is busy with more acorn flour. Gluten free and very nourishing and surprisingly tasty. Still loads more acorns in the garden though, the oak has produced loads and loads this year. "a mast year" in botanical terms! A bit of a faff to prepare though. Very MSE though!!!Keep well and virtual hugs and rays of sunshine for everyone7
