I was looking into putting my money away (over 100K) in fixed term bond for 5-10yrs.
Came across DBS www.bds-london.co.uk and are offering advice on bonds.
But i don't know much about this company and was wondering if anyone tell me more about them please.
Thank you

I did try to google them and got exactly zero hits no matter how I tried which I find strange...1

I'm no expert myself but it looks a bit dodgy, as Whitesmith says above it's odd that a major firm like this has no presence on Google. Website claims to be FCA registered but there's no registration number. A search on the FCA website for "BDS" brings up no results. I don't like the "feel" of it, but that's just my opinion.1

There was a thread a few weeks back on this one and it was considered to be a clone scam. i.e. a genuine company exists but the website in question was not real. There are some tell tale signs on the website that indicate it is fake.(in no particular order)
1 - The regulatory message for the FCA is missing
2 - Companies house details are missing
3 - Website domain only registered a few days ago
4 - The FCA have no company of that name at that address
5 - The FCA register has no company trading as BDS London on it.
6 - The website contains gobbledy gook and Americanisms
6 - There is a genuine company listed at companies house called BDS London. This company is genuine and does not do financial services. They are victims of this clone scammer.

We have a DBS bank in Hong Kong and they have a branch in London.Sorry I meant BDS London. And their linkwww.bds-london.co.uk. They have offered me fixed rate bonds: Gilt bond 6% until 2028, Barclay bond 5.75% until 2026 and HSBC 6.5% until 2023. It tempting but i just need to know more about them.

Its a scam. or if not, the % rate on the bonds isn't what you think it is, eg if you buy a bond at 6.25% for (say) £100, then in 5 years time the bond might pay back £60 not the original £100 making the actual interest rate 0.1% or such like (I havent checked the numbers in that, but that would be the idea. EDIT; And i just noticed its gilt bonds, which definitely do not pay back what you paid for them. They may pay more or they may pay less. If the interest rate is 6.25%, you can bet its less. And that's if this is real and not a clone scam.
There's no such thing as a free lunch and no one is offering 6.25% without strings because the best you can get is around 1.5-2% so why would they, they could offer 2.5% and pocket the rest themselves. So either a scam or a massive amount of undisclosed risk.If you found this by googling or facebooking, stop that immediately. Thats the way to dig up scams. Look on a recognised site like this. Google/FB dont care what results they show you as long as the scammers pay their advertising fees.5
