Why not save it for the Queen's speech or whatever you do after lunch, then you can mix it up as a well earned reward and toast HM/family over Zoom at the same time.

I bought some ordinary gin and have added it to make the liquid go further and have been letting it infuse. The only thing is the amount I needed to use to get the volume has affected the colour. When I tried putting some in a mini jar recently to see how it would look, it resembles a urine sample due to the colouring - eeek.

I'd get around it by just decanting into a dark coloured bottle but we now aren't all spending Christmas day together, plus upto 2 are driving, so my thoughts are to put a little in a mini container (thinking the mini jam jars you get at hotels etc, have seen some for sale cheaply) add a mini bottle of fizzy wine for each family member, so they can take home if not drinking on Xmas day.

Ive thought about being a sloe gin mini and adding that. I don't mind that MIL's HM sloe gin will only be a part of it. Any other ideas?
  • How about this Butterfly Pea Flower colouring for your drink from Lakeland

Depending on what else is in the cocktail you get a blue, purple or pink drink which would certainly be nicer than urine sample colour!
