Credit file incorrect information

Options
Hi, I have been working to improve my credit file which is taking time. But going through Equifax and Experian I see 2 major errors and on writing to the credit ref agencys they have said they can not help. The issues are as follows

1 : I moved into my current address Jan 2017 yet it shows on my credit file that I was only registered through the electoral role since June 2019. They said they can not ammend this as it has to come from my Council. On contacting my council they have no idea about it and wont discuss issues related to credit files. How do I prove I have lived at my current address 3 years longer than is showing ?

2 : back in 2016 I moved into my fathers home for around 8 months. He has the exact same name as me. For some reason from that point onward the credit ref agencys have shown my mother (who is deceased) as a financial connection to me. I am not my father clearly - and checked my personal info on the credit ref agencys such as dob etc and all of that is correct. It also shows that I was at my fathers house much longer than I actually was - some 5 years longer and alongside that shows the address i resided in before moving to my fathers so it looks like I lived at 2 places during the same time period. Trying to prove this to anyone seems to be an impossible task. I really need to prove i have had a stable address for over 3 years and im not financially linked to my dead mother.

Any help or advise on this much appreciated. Sorry for the long post.

Than you Dave

    1. When did you actually register for the electoral roll? Was it when you first moved in in 2017? Or was it in 2019 when you realised it was important that you were on it?

Hi I did raise a dispute with Experian but they said they can not ammend electoral role info without notifaction from the council in question. Council says they can discuss or help with Credit file inquiries thanks

Hi I moved in Jan 2017 and applied to go on the electoral role around Feb 2017 and presumed it was done - the council said it would only be updated December of that Year but it never was and after many calls it was only last year they added me. It seems impossible to prove i have been in the same address for over the past 3 years . thanks
