ALL ABOARD THE YORKSHIRE STEAM RAILWAY – ADDITIONAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS

• Competition opened at midday on 23.10.2020
• Competition closes at midday on 03.12.2020 and 3 working days later for postal entries.

1) The prize comprises:
a) An allowance of £100 per person (£200 total) towards UK travel costs made payable to the winner in the form of a BACS transfer;
b) Three (3) nights’ accommodation for two adults at the Victoria Hotel, based on the prize winner and their companion sharing a superior sea view balcony room on a bed and continental breakfast basis (subject to availability);
c) Three-course dinner for two on one evening at the hotel restaurant (excludes drinks);
d) Afternoon tea on one day at the hotel;
e) Either a three-course lunch or dinner aboard the Moorlander or the Pullman Dining Train on the North Yorkshire Moors Railway on one day (excludes drinks);
f) Return private transfers between the hotel and Grosmont station; and
g) £500 spending money.

2) The prize winner must book their trip within 28 days (subject to 2021 dates being released) of their congratulations e-mail from Element being sent and at least six weeks in advance of their preferred departure date or the prize may be forfeited.
3) The prize must be taken and completed within 18 months of the congratulations e-mail from Element being sent. The trip cannot be taken over any UK Bank Holidays (3rd May 2021; 31st May 2021; 30th August 2021), Christmas and New Year (from 20th December 2021 to 4th January 2021 or 20th December 2021 to 4th January 2022), or over Easter weekend (from 2nd April to 5th April 2021 and 15th April to 18th April 2022).

4) Where the prize winner is under 18 years old, he/she must be accompanied by an adult aged 18 or over to check into the hotel. Please note that either the prize winner or their companion will need a current and valid credit card in order to check in at the hotel for security deposit purposes.

5) The prize excludes transfers between the winner’s home and the train station/airport, drinks, additional meals, excursions, attractions, spa treatments, gratuities, personal expenses, travel insurance and all other costs and arrangements not expressly included in the prize.

6) The prize and all its elements are subject to availability. Neither Channel 5 nor Element will accept responsibility for the accommodation or any facilities being unavailable, withdrawn or amended.

7) There is no cash alternative or refund for unused portions of the prize.

8) Any amendments made by the prize winner after the booking is confirmed may be subject to administration charges levied by the specific supplier. Any such charges will be the responsibility of the prize winner.

9) A cheque or bank transfer for the spending money included in the prize will be issued in the prize winner’s name within 14 days of the holiday booking being confirmed.

10) An allowance towards UK travel costs will be provided to the winner only. The allowance is calculated at a set maximum of £100 per guest and will be made payable to the winner at the time of accommodation booking by the prize provider as a BACS transfer. Their travel allowance will be paid to the winner up to a maximum of 2 guests/£200. Neither Channel 5 nor the prize provider are responsible for organising travel arrangements for this prize, it will be the prize winner’s responsibility to organise this appropriately throughout their stay unless otherwise stated.
