SO ,AM I entitled to this reward, how can I bring it up with them,Appreciate any advice, as this could be a big gift for my Christmas.

  • When I go to Nat West website now it clearly states what the offer is and how to go about it?
Was this there when you applied? If not I would suggest that you will not get the offer but you could ask them to see what they say?

The offer began on the 19th October - see thread here:  https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6203748/new-natwest-125-switch/

The terms, linked from that thread, state
    1. New customers must: (a) Apply for, and complete the account opening process for a NatWest Select, Reward, Premier Select or Premier Reward account (‘new eligible current account’) via natwest.com or via the mobile app, between 19th October 2020 and 19th November 2020. As part of that application, you must transfer a non-NatWest current account to your new eligible current account (which includes closing your non-NatWest current account and moving all your payment instructions to your new eligible current account) using the Current Account Switch Service online or via the mobile app; and (b) after your new eligible current account is opened, you must also before 15th January 2021: (i) deposit £1,500 into your new eligible current account; and (ii) log into our online or mobile banking service.
If you applied for/opened your account on the 16th October then you're not fulfilling the terms.

No harm in asking them though.

The terms state that the application must be between 19th October and 19th November, not the switch (an entirely different process).  I'd contact NatWest and ask them to check where you stand - which, going on the terms, is not in the offer - and ask nicely to be included.

I would have thought that if you didn't fall under the "new customer" section of the offer then you'd fall under the "existing customer" section, since your account was opened prior to 19 Oct. Either way if your switch completes before 19 Nov and you make the required pay in then you should be eligible
