Council Tax Exemption.

I’m currently applying for school centred teacher training (you train in a school and training centre but linked to a university) I’m looking at renting a flat with my partner while I do this. He’s a full time student at university so is exempt from council tax but will I be? The course is full time.

According to a student forum (I didn't know, so Googled), you are exempt as it's a full time course.

Gov.uk defines what a full time course is, the link is here. If you meet the course requirements, you should be ok.

You'll be fine. Ordinarily on the job training that's more than 50% of the course would rule out the student status however teacher training has a specific exemption so you'd still qualify.
