    Hello,

We would like to clarify opinions posted on this thread.

Auxillis does not ‘inflate costs’ or extend the hire duration of claims. Such actions would not be legal and in breach of bilateral agreements we have in place with 65% of motor insurers.

Over 96% of our claims are settled by insurers in the normal course of business, most at pre-agreed terms.

All Auxillis non-fault customers are indemnified for the hire and/or repair costs, on the rare occasion where a third party insurer does not settle the charges, as well as for any associated legal costs involved in recovery. As you would expect if a customer provides false/misleading information or is unwilling to co-operate in cost recovery the policy may be voided.

L.C.Elliot – in the rare circumstances that charges are not settled you would be covered by this indemnity. If you would like to discuss this in more detail, please contact us at onlineteam@auxillis.com

Ignoring the potentially implied fraudulent inflation and the natural conflict of interests that exists, are you honestly trying to claim that @Auxillis dealing with credit hire and repairs would result in a bill to the Third Party Insurer that is not a penny more than if the TPI had dealt with the TP directly and provided repairs and hire via their preferred suppliers inc any volume rebates etc?

You would be the first credit hire firm I've ever come across to make that claim; every other credit hire company acknowledges that it does increase (aka inflate) costs however counter this with the argument of the improved service to the TP who may otherwise be unduly inconvenienced if their vehicle is unroadworthy and liability initially in dispute or such.

Whilst no longer a claims handler myself I was recently privy to the hire rates being given to an insurer for direct instruction on TP replacement vehicles and they were significantly lower in all classes against the ABI GTA hire rates and that is before you consider the annual volume rebate that is given.
