OK, apologies in advance. I have done NOTHING except, this morning, taking the timer assembly out and put it back in, and now it works fine... I have done the same identical things I tried on Friday and now it comes on and goes out as it should. Perhaps when I mounted it the first time there was a loose connection? Who knows... For now it works though.
Apologies again for wasting your time.
