Tier 2 Restrictions mean I can’t attend event

  • The CMA advice has long been discussed on here, and while great in theory the organisers in 99% of cases aren’t refunding when it’s not their fault people can’t attend. 

    It doesn’t make sense that a business should be expected to refund when they didn’t make up the guidelines, and took the booking in good faith.

    But equally, it doesn't make sense that a customer has to break the law in order to receive the service/goods they have paid for. I would have thought that refunding the customer their money is a sensible solution.

    It would make sense to refund the the customer if they could resell the table. If they won't be able to resell, then their offer to sit everyone separately is a compromise.
