Entering By Post | Omaze UK

Maximum one entry per postcard

Click here to check out our entry bundles starting at just £5 and help support the British Heart Foundation.

Omaze offers an alternative means of entering into prize draws. The process for using this alternative means of entry is described in detail below. Just like the paid method of entering the prize draw, this alternative method requires you to accept all our terms and conditions. On a blank sheet of paper, or postcard, write your name, address, date of birth, telephone number, email address and which prize draw you want to enter. For example, 'Omaze Million Pound House Draw- Cheshire', or, 'Omaze Million Pound House Draw- London'.

This needs to be written down in very clear writing otherwise the entry may be deemed invalid.

We have appointed Civica Election Services, formerly known as Electoral Reform Services (ERS),  as our independent scrutineers to administer this competition.  They have over 100 years’ experience in administering elections, ballots and competitions for a wide range of clients including TV programmes and various lottery projects. Please send the sheet of paper in an envelope to the following address via either first or second class post to:

Address:

Omaze Scrutineers

Civica Election Services

33 Clarendon Road

London

N8 0NW

A maximum of one entry can be made per postcard or envelope received. There is no limit to the number of entries that may be made this way. Once a postal entry has been processed it will be entered into the next available draw and all subsequent draws until the final Grand Prize drawing. For the avoidance of any doubt, if the postcard states that the entrant would like to enter the Omaze Million Pound House Draw- Cheshire, and that entrant writes their details as described above, then just as with any one paid entry, this postcard would count for one entry into each Early Bird Prize Draw, one entry into the £1,000 Weekly Cash Draw each week and one entry into the Grand Prize Draw to win the Million Pound House + 2,020 additional prizes. Postal entries are treated in exactly the same way as paid entries for the purposes of determining a winner. However, there is a difference in the deadlines for entries. All of our draws (weekly £1,000, Early Bird & House plus 2,020 others) close at midnight on Fridays for online entry. The corresponding cut-off for postal entries will be that they are received and processed before 5pm on the following Tuesday (see Official Rules for dates). Postal entries have an equal chance of winning as any one paid entry. If a postal entry wins a prize there will be no further purchase or payment necessary to be notified of the win or to receive the prize. If the above steps are not followed as described then a postal entry will be invalid. You will not be notified if your entry is invalid.

  • I cannot see how Omaze can collect money for the £3 Million London House draw they advertise from the Free entries via post!
The PO will make some money from the stamp but Omaze will make ZERO! The possibilities therefore are:
    1) This option is a scam and postal entries will NEVER be included in the prize draw, or
    2) Omaze will sell your particulars (name, Email, DOB and address) to crooks (possibly the dark web). The least damage will be a delude of Emails from various companies / individuals, trying to sell you things you don't want. In the worst case you could become the victim of IDENTITY THEFT and find that someone got a large bank loan and bought a  house in China, for example, on YOUR name!!!
This would be particulalry easy to happen if you send your entry on a Postcard WITHOUT an envelope, as one of the suggestions by the Omaze advert!
Could Omaze please explain how they will your include you in the draw without any monetary contribution from you?
    Are they a foolish charity?

It appears you have done your exercise on Google maps. The point is that it does not have to be that particular house they show in their ad. Also I doubt that this particular house is worth £3M, unless you have checked with the supposed Estate Agents!

Almost all paid competitions in the UK offer free postal entries (see itv competitions, channel 5 competitions, etc.) because of complex laws regarding lotteries. We have no way of knowing for sure, but they should include postal entries as equal to paid ones. Their terms and conditions specify that they have appointed an independent adjudicator to confirm the draw's legitimacy.

Omaze are a well-established company so I am sure they are making plenty of money from paid entries, and it is extremely unlikely that they will sell your information.

Yes - I found the house using Google maps and I am 99.9% sure it is the house shown on the website. By law, the prize must be the house they show in the ads. The house may not be worth £3m - it has just been "recently valued" at £3m. For all we know it may be worth £2.8m or £3.1m and you will only find out its real worth when it is sold (and I did check with estate agents and online property websites, and of course, we all know estate agents are paragons of truth).

From google street view looks like a big refurb in 2019

2nd class stamp is 65p gets you one entry, 15 entries for £10 is average of 67p per entry. There is a £5 for 7 entries only shown on the postal page. So there is little incentive to enter via post...
This their 2nd home competition after awarding the £1milllion home in Manchester with 250K to charity.

They also frequently offer promotions including double entries so you can get entries for as low as 30p each. I seriously doubt there are a huge number of postal entries compared to the paid entries.

  • So far for promo code, from what I see, if you donate money, you will get an email saying you can donate again to double your entry.
