I parked in a disabled park with my 2 young children has there was no parking spaces available. My 5 year old son was desperate for the loo. I circle the car park couple times and waited 10 min. My son couldn't wait any longer so we jumped out walk to Costa coffee and used there facilities and back. Say about 15 min tops.
What's annoyed me more the parking attend was driving behind me while I was looking for a bay and seen me get out the car and return back. He has fine me. I question him because he seen me with 2 young children and have been 15min tops. I now have a fine. With this being a private owned car park should I ignore or have to pay it?!

You will find little sympathy here. I suggest that you pay it before it doubles.
BTW it is not a fine. You never know how far you can go until you go too far.0 -
Misuse of disabled bays is one of the reasons why these unregulated parking companies exist.
The advice to ignore a parking charge has not been given on this forum since the law changed in 2012.
If you think the parking company made a technical error in issuing the charge (it is not a fine), then follow the advice in the sticky thread for NEWBIES that asks everyone to read it first, then appeal using the blue template text.
Hopefully you have learned a valuable lesson. If you need to stop somewhere urgently in the future, do it on yellow lines without kerb blips on a public road.

You MUST NOT use disabled bays when not disabled. I am a Mum whose 4 kids were just 7 years apart when they were young but I would NEVER have parked in a disabled bay except when collecting a disabled relative. People with kids don't have a right to a special bay.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

As a disabled user with a blue badge ever since they were orange , I would like to see the PCN double or treble or more in cost to deter this type of selfish behaviour , sorry but it's the way I feel about such blatant disregard for disabled people for such a minor issue as this was
If they can fine students ten grand for breaking covid rules having a party !!!
I can understand if someone had a cardiac arrest or genuine medical emergency but really !!
This is one of the few reasons I agree with parking companies and when the new CoP comes in I would hope this is one issue they would fix with much higher charges (fines) , like say £200 as in mobile phone use in a vehicle for example3
