Done like a kipper on ebay: what to do?

Options
I've been waiting a suspiciously long time for something I ordered on ebay - a sports goods co, not an individual seller. At first they answered my emails; now silence. I paid by Paypal about 2 weeks ago and the item was allegedly despatched on 27 Nov for next day delivery.

Questions: how long do I give them, as it is Xmas and it was being sent in the post?
Then if it still doesn't arrive, what should I do? I have only ordered twice on ebay before and both times were ok. Thanks for any advice.

  • Have another look on the forum as there is a board for ebay etc. You may get more help on there, good luck :)
Wow, I got 3 *, when did that happen :j:T:p
It is not illegal to open another persons mail unless you intend to commit fraud - this is frequently incorrectly posted:)
    I live in my head - I find it's safer there:p

As you paid using paypal, just contact them to open a dispute. They then contact the company on your behalf and if it isn't resolved you'll get a refund. If the item turns up you simply withdraw the dispute.

When you posted this it had actually only been six working days since they sent it. I would let them know now and then give them another update in a couple of days i.e. after the weekend. :j
