How do I give this to her without the Government stealing a further share of the exorbitant sum they have already robbed from us?

The majority of people have  to pay tax and without tax we would have anarchy and no hospitals, schools , police, etc ( or social housing )

Sadly, I think a lot of people think that these things are paid for with thin air, or have existed since the beginning of time when [insert deity of choice here] created them.

*I am not an IFA, I don't use one, I don't advertise for them and I wish schools taught financial education so that we didn't need them!
My school taught me Design and Technology and I still pay for a car mechanic to service my car.
  • Amh11 I am wondering if you are getting any means-tested benefits, as you mentioned social housing. If you are, you may need to inform DWP (or the local authority for Council Tax support of Housing Benefit ) about your inheritance - change of circumstances. It may mean you are no longer entitled to your benefit. I don't want to jump  to conclusions though, not knowing all your circumstances, so just flagging this up.
