Breaking news just now. Begs three questions....
1) How long will the authorities there be happy to let Brits in for?
2) Have they done this solely to keep the tourism industry going?
3) How long will it be until forum member Butts books a BA holiday there? 🎣😃

I suppose also question 4....
4) How many people who were hoping their package holiday in the next few weeks was going to get cancelled will now be a bit annoyed with this? Can see the threads popping up now....0 -

Just doing a quick search on Google, suggesting a sub-£40 pp return flight, going away for a week, departure on Monday.
This paired with accommodation available from €125 for the week means you're looking at around £200 for a week for 2 people. I very much doubt this is going to do much to keep the travel industry going, unless something is advertised as 'From £99pp' or something, however there's going to be less than £10 of margin in that for the agent, so we know it's going to be much cheaper to DIY in this instance, therefore not helping the travel industry in the UK.💙💛 💔0 -
1. I would guess they are more likely to add a requirement for a clear covid test, than ban Brits.
2. Yes
4. Should be delighted, anyone who only books in the hope of a cancellation is foolish.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. Add to (1), certain parts of the UK would presumably be breaking the rules here by going abroad.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. Mum had booked in Feb and is due to fly on the 2nd November, she had fully prepared herself not to go.
The hotel she is due to stop in closed all their hotels in the general area back in September she is staying in so that’s currently up in the air though have warned her she might be allocated somewhere else. Have also heard on the grapevine that guests will be given a COVID test at the hotel and should it prove positive they will be moved to a COVID hotel... not sure how it would work though whilst waiting for test results.Interesting few days ahead methinks0 -
Anyone thinking of booking trips to the Canary Islands should be aware the local politicians are in advanced talks with the government in Madrid about requiring mandatory PCR tests for arrivals from high risk areas, which will include both regions of mainland Spain and other EU countries with an infection rate of over 50 in 100,000.0

I actually preferred the sound of Denmark which also came back, but don't think I'm "A worthy Person" with a valid reason for entry - unfortunately0
