Waitrose loyalty card- no benefits

borderline

I don't get any benefits from this card. I use it often and get nothing. Before they used to send me money off coupons if I spent over £40 but I never spend that amount in one go so it was useless to me anyway. Now I see on their website Offers for Mywaitrose members, is this only online and it doesn't apply in store? I don't see anywhere saying so

I have the joint John Lewis/ Waitrose card, and I mainly use it for the "kitchen drawer" stored receipt facility.
If you use it for online grocery shopping then the website lists offers on groceries like 25% off diet coke, Warners gin, Sanex shower gels, kettle chips etc. There is/was the free hot drink when you brought your own cup - although with Covid, I'm not sure whether that is still available??
There is also the fish friday offer on some fish from the counter - so that's an in store thing.0 -

Same here, absolute rubbish, and actually quite an unethical deceit when they scrapped the pick your own offers. The melody of their words was a "just as good replacement" with vouchers - but like you that was not the reality.
Don't trust Waitrose Corporate behaviors.

The special offers for My Waitrose members apply in store as well as online, I know this as I bought some of the items in store last week and got the discount. There'll be a little picture of a loyalty card on the shelf by relevant items. As for money off coupons in the post, well they can be useful but they can also encourage you to spend too much just to get the discount! They'll start off at a low amount like £8 off a £40 spend but once you've used one voucher, the next lot you receive will require you to spend more to get more money off.1

I got some £12 off £80 spend vouchers for in store shops very recently so they do exist but it all seems a bit haphazard.0

my partner is still getting £4 off £20 spend coupons. I don't get anything.
I agree they need to bring back some more benefits, the old MyOffers were reasonable.1 -
You need it to get the scanner for paying with, their queues are often long!1

One benefit for us is a 'free' newspaper when spending £10+.
The Times and Sunday Times are part of the offer. As the Sunday Times has a cover price of £2.50, it's worth spending £10 on a Sunday.
Other newspapers are available.2
