advice - village hotel room with child

Hello

Looking to book Village hotel room for myself and 1 yr old daughter, she co-sleeps, so will be sleeping in same bed with me?
Across all their offers, the price for a room is £x for 2 adults, but for 1 adult and 1 child is £25 extra.

Anyone have experience with booking a room with a child...
Will hotel cause an issue if I book a room for 2 adults

Yes because you are booking against their conditions.
Does it say at what age they charge for a child? Do they accept babies? Some small private establishments don't.
Why not ring them and explain? They may be considerate. On the other hand they may not be keen on a 1yr old in a double bed where there could be a wetting of the matress. But if you ring and ask they may be happy enough and just put a plastic sheet under to preserve their mattress. You may think that she won't make a puddle but the hotel doesn't know that and it would prevent them taking their next guest and cost them.

Where does the additional £25 come from?

I've just looked at the Village Hotel I normally stay at and there is no option to add a child. You just book a room capable of taking 2 adults as normal.
If you are asking to add a child then they are probably giving you a room with a double bed AND a sofa bed for the child. Just book a standard room.

    emailed Village hotel

£25 extra when a child (or 2 child) is selected they will allocate a family room (double bed plus 1 or 2 roll out beds) plus family room will bigger.
also try to justify the fee as includes gym/pool access (but I think this is cheeky since it's included when booking direct anyway)

I asked if can book a room as two adults but have an adult and child stay, and email said that fine
