The MSE matched betting board isn't exactly a hive of activity, one thread in the last seven months!0

Thats because it has been shut to new posts since March.eskbanker said:The MSE matched betting board isn't exactly a hive of activity, one thread in the last seven months!0 -
I didn't know it's shut. Mind you, there has been nothing to bet on for many months, and no free bets to speak of.bradders1983 said:

EDIT: It isn't shut to new posts, anyway.0 -
It was. Must have reopened this week, was shut to new posts when I last looked. "Heavy demand on the rest of the forum etc", same reason they shut the Moneysavers Arms section.colsten said:

Been plenty to bet on, tbh things have been relatively back to normal for a number of months now.0 -
I just looked and YES it still is shut to new posts...
We’re struggling at the moment with the huge volumes of messages we’re getting from Forumites about coronavirus and the impact it’s having on their finances. We’re a small team and we’re doing our best to manage this spike in demand. As a result, we’ve reluctantly decided to temporarily close the Matched Betting Board so that we can redirect our limited resources to those who need us most at this time.
Please do not post Matched Betting content elsewhere in the forum – we appreciate your help and understanding during this exceptionally difficult time. It goes without saying, we hope to get back to full business as soon as possible!

PayPal works totally fine with every bookie or casino site I've ever tried it with and there are specific benefits to using it over a debit card - three being, you can route PayPal payments through more than one current account, and you don't need to go through the hassle that comes from a debit card expiring, and withdrawals are sometimes processed faster. These are small but real benefits.colsten said:
Skrill works fine with betting sites. Paypal not so much. Neither are current account though.grace2much said:Not that it matters, nor is it any business of the person who asked but of course my wife and I have discussed it and she will probably try it as well if it works for me. I'll look at the Monzo account, thanks for that info. I wonder would skrill work I don't have an account with them but I do have a PayPal account. But as someone said above probably good to ask in the oddsmonkey match betting forums as some will have answered what I'm looking to do. So thank you for all the advice and I'll see if the forums at oddsmonkey can help now...
Again, ask on the Matched Betting board. The MSE Matched Betting Board.
Skrill might work fine - I've never tried it so I don't know - but I do know some bookies or casinos don't allow Skrill deposits for some offers.0 -
Skybet dont allow you to use PayPal, if anyone is lucky enough to keep an account in good order with them for longer than 10 minutes.1

My main account is with Santander and has been for many years. I have used it and none other for transactions with exchanges, bookie, casinos, etc for 15 years (used it today in fact) without the sniff of a problem. One of the several reasons I'm sticking with them.
OP - why don't you open another account with them in your name only, and use it only for MB?
Best of luck with the MB which I've described to family and friends as a dead duck. I made £4K+ last year; £190 this year since the lockdown.
Incidentally many bookie offers don't work if you deposit using Skrill or Paypal. I had one today which was profitable, but had I not deposited via my debit card the offer would not have been (it was in the T&Cs). Worth bearing in mind.0 -
I did this for a bit years ago and used a basic nationwide flex account /debit card which was separated from any main banking. I had no issues over two years with numerous places signed up to.0
