Acer Aspire A315-54 Just Died

Hi,

I bought this 18 months ago (Argos) and it has only had light use (1-2 times a week), all the software was up to date and the battery charged.

After about 10 minutes on Monday night, it just died and won't turn on.

No lights come on.

I have tried two different working power packs, but still nothing. I have tried re-setting the battery using a paper-clip in the small hole in the back, but still nothing.

Acer don't respond to emails.

Would anybody be able to advise me as to what I can do to get this sorted out, please?

Can anyone confirm if the two-years EU warranty still applies as we are still in the transition phase of Brexit?

What about with no battery?  Then long hold power button with mains switch off.  Then swittch on mains and power button.  Anything?

I haven't tried taking the battery out, wiull need to youtube first!

Oh, so it's not easily removable. Sorry.  A long power switch press is still worth a try.
