Hi,
I bought this 18 months ago (Argos) and it has only had light use (1-2 times a week), all the software was up to date and the battery charged.
After about 10 minutes on Monday night, it just died and won't turn on.
No lights come on.
I have tried two different working power packs, but still nothing. I have tried re-setting the battery using a paper-clip in the small hole in the back, but still nothing.
Acer don't respond to emails.
Would anybody be able to advise me as to what I can do to get this sorted out, please?
Can anyone confirm if the two-years EU warranty still applies as we are still in the transition phase of Brexit?
TIA

Contact Argos first.
Do you have the receipt or proof of purchase such as a credit card statement?
A man walked into a car showroom.
He said to the salesman, “My wife would like to talk to you about the Volkswagen Golf in the showroom window.”
Salesman said, “We haven't got a Volkswagen Golf in the showroom window.”
The man replied, “You have now mate".0 -

Oh, so it's not easily removable. Sorry. A long power switch press is still worth a try.

Ah, just double checked receipt and it was Jan 2020, so should still be under warranty, Argos time...

You were lucky.
A suggestion: https://store.acer.com/en-gb/3-years-carry-in-1st-year-international-travellers-warranty-notebook-aspire
£42.49 for peace of mind for another two years.
Though it's worth noting:Acer Limited Product Warranty
