Forgive me ally hope this is not seen as a hijack of this thread but it got me thinking... If you were to move away from a letting agent and manage yourself... What would happen re. a new AST agreement when you want to increase the rent etc?Just my opinion, no offence 🐈0

You either mutually agree the new rent by way of a new AST, or you serve an S13 after the AST ends.No free lunch, and no free laptop1

The normal rules regarding contract renewal and rent increases apply.Post 4: Ending/renewing an AST: what happens when a fixed term ends? How can a LL or tenant end a tenancy? What is a periodic tenancy?

Thanks that's good to know. So instead of having to type up a new agreement it is like an additional form and the original AST remains. Might think about sacking my letting agent then 😹Just my opinion, no offence 🐈0
