TERMS AND CONDITIONS for “Three iPhone 12- Absolute Radio” (the “Competition”). These terms should be read with our general competition terms at: http://www.bauerlegal.co.uk/radio-competition-terms.html which also apply to this Competition.

 

1.COMPETITION MECHANIC AND HOW TO WIN	In order to be eligible to win, entrants must go online to absoluteradio.co.uk and tell us the following details:     Full name and contact details Explain what life- upgrade* you would want and how you think this would improve your life   Entries will be judged on how entertaining, compelling, heart-warming and how deserving the entry is. All entries will be judged by the Dave Berry production team, the production manager and an independent judge.   The competition opens on 21/10/2020 at 00.01 and ends on 29/10/2020 at 09:00. Up to 5 entrants from all entries will be shortlisted on the previous working day to the competition air date up to that point. On shortlisting, we will require the entrant to coherently explain their entry. The entry must be compelling and match the entry that was entered online. The entrant will need to explain in detail the life upgrade they want and how they think this would improve their lives. On being called during the entry period does not mean that the entrant has won.  From the 5 shortlisted entries daily, only 1 will be deemed the winner and taken to air by the breakfast production team. Only when a shortlisted entrant has been brought to air and told they are a winner; will they be classed as a winner and receive the prize.   All finalists will be called ahead the competition segment being recorded.  If the chosen finalist is unavailable when we come to call them on a competition record date, a backup finalist from the shortlist will be chosen in their place and the original finalist will forfeit their prize.   The 1st winner to be picked to record an on-air segment be notified they are selected no later than 12pm on 23/10/2020     The 2nd winner to be picked to record an on-air segment be notified they are selected no later than 12pm on 26/10/2020   The 3rd winner to be picked to record an on-air segment be notified they are selected no later than 12pm on 27/10/2020   The 4th winner to be picked to record an on-air segment be notified they are selected no later than 12pm on 28/10/2020   The 5th winner to be picked to record an on-air segment be notified they are selected no later than 12pm on 29/10/2020     Each day from Monday 26th October until Friday 30th October the finalist’s segment will be played as live/ or as live if pre-recorded on-air during the Absolute Radio Breakfast show.   *The life upgrade will be awarded as a £500 cash prize and must not exceed this value. If a Life Upgrade is deemed as valuing more than £500 this entry will be discounted.
2.Entry Platforms and Costs	(A)       Online at absoluteradio.co.uk  or planetradio.co.uk/absoluteradio   Online entry is free.
3. DATES	Start Date and End Date. Pre-registration: from 21/10/2020 at 00.01 (Start Date) to 29/10/2020 at 09:00 (End Date).   The on-air portions of this comparison will take place each day from 26/10/2020 until 30/10/2020, between 6am and 10am. The winners will be given information of when the exact timings will be ahead of being brought to air.   Entries received before the Start Date or after the End Date will be invalid.   Winner Announcement. The name and the hometown of the winners of the competition will be announced on the Dave Berry Breakfast Show 26/10/2020 until 30/10/2020 between 6am and 10am.
4. ENTRY RESTRICTIONS	Open to UK residents aged 18 years or over on date of entry.   One entry per person. Our employees (and their family members) or employees of any company involved in the Competition, including any Prize Provider, are not permitted to enter. If you or any other person at your household has won a prize valued at £500 or more on any Bauer brand in the past 6 months, you nor they are not eligible to enter or win this competition. 5. In total their will be 5 winners of the competition.   **On-air the £500 cash prize   The prize is provided by Element. Please note due to the current Covid-19 situation, delivery times may be extended and may over-run the 28day delivery period as noted in our General Terms and Conditions. There may also be delays to a member of staff contacting winners once the competition has ended. 1. DATA PROTECTION. Names, email addresses, and /or telephone numbers (which, for all SMS competitions, will be shared with our SMS provider,) will be collected and used to process entries. Winner’s details may be given to the prize provider to arrange delivery of the prize.  Your details may remain stored after the End Date but will not be used for marketing unless you have ticked an opt-in box on entry. 1. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY AND CONSENTS. By entering this Competition, you are consenting to our use of your entry both to publicise this Competition, our radio station or any other radio station which we own or control. This means that we may use all names, images, descriptions, photographs video footage, and other information, which you’ve submitted on entry, in any media, without paying you and without any time restriction. You also agree that we may film, record or photograph you in connection with the competition and /or the Prize (if you win!). We will own these films, recordings or photographs and we may use them publicly, including on the internet, for our radio broadcasts and/or for any promotional purposes. You will also have waived any moral rights or right to payment that you may have had.

 

1. MISCELLANEOUS.
   1. Entries that don’t comply with these terms won’t be accepted and you may be disqualified if we think you’ve breached them.
   2. Entrants may not enter more than once.
   3. If there is a dispute about the operation of the Competition or correctness of any answers given, our decision is final and no discussion will be entered into on this subject.
   4. We are not responsible if you fail to get through when you call / text to enter, or if you lose signal during a call.
   5. You are responsible for all costs of entry.
   6. You may be disqualified if you are incomprehensible, inaudible or if you appear to be driving, intoxicated or likely to offend listeners.
   7. Whilst on-air, you must not make inappropriate or offensive statements.
   8. As far as it is lawful to do so we exclude our liability for any losses suffered in connection with the Competition / the Prize.
   9. We may cancel / amend / end / suspend the Competition if we need to do so due to circumstances outside our control.
