So ask the stairlift owner to contact them?  Or are you acting on their behalf?  If you are, then they need to contact Stannah to authorise you to do so.

Maybe the name of the person gives them chance to see what type of equipment they have fitted. As they may have different charges based on what is installed.
Is there a issue giving the person name to them?

  • Stannah either do not wish to be bothered with after market service or its only interested in selling  NEW lifts to the elderly and poorly! I had to buy one and bought a S/H installed unit at a reasonable price and fortunately my sons are practical and installed it in a day! A couple of weeks later it developed a fault and then we found out the poor standard of assistance available from   Stannah !
Call out charge an eye watering £269 for 1 hour on site PLUS parts and it could be up to 7  days before they could send someone out!
This cost is obviously designed to put people off from asking for service?
Yes they would  come out and inspect to check to see if they wish to give you a Service Contract! Yet again at eye watering prices!
Again with patience and wading through the installation and wiring diagrams I managed to sort the Re-Set and it has been trouble free for the last few days!

I am not surprised they won’t give you any information without knowing where the service is required. What is the problem with telling them?

You bought it elsewhere, they have no obligation at all to help you.
Servicing second hand units isn't as profitable as selling new items - most won't want to know when call out fees etc are talked about so it makes better business sense to focus on new sales.
They probably only have a handful of 'engineers' in the UK, so the call-out fee is probably a lot of driving time / fuel cost too.

Just contact a local  independent engineer who will service or repair Stannah. Guaranteed to be cheaper
No free lunch, and no free laptop ;)
