British Gas - 12 months 'free' central heating copper plumbing, drains and electrical cover
British Gas are currently offering the above to new customers taking out dual fuel.
The terms and conditions state "that this is an introductory offer for 12 months if you have any active services agreement or had a services products with equivalent features in the last 3 months or more than once in 3 years and choose to take this tariff we will not set up any of the services. The terms of this energy tariff will continue to apply for each fuel on this tariff"
My HomeCare 2 cover is up for renewal, however if I took out this dual fuel offer with British Gas I save myself £203 a year not needing to to renew my Homecare.
Due to the terms and conditions I am not technically eligible for this offer however if the new agreement for our gas and electric supply was in my wife's name then all should be ok yes or does it go by address do you think?

I changed my Gas/Electric tariff to British Gas as it included 'free' Homecare. I had to call out British Gas as we had a problem with our Boiler. Imagine my surprise to find out the make of our boiler (Avanta) is not included on the list BG's boilers they cover. The engineer stated that quite a few boiler makes are not included on their 'list'. This should be mentioned at point of sale and a list of boiler makes covered should be available!
If you're expecting to be covered by this 'free' Homecare , ensure you check before changing to British Gas.1
