Sky Card

Hi there recently bought apartment in Spain it has a sky box,when I was there last week I took my viewing card from here which I subscribe to the full package. B ut I was unable to view the sports channels or movie cgannels was wondreing if ther is anything I can do (Apart from phoning Sky who I know what they would say)

Did you reset the Sky box after putting your card in it? I recently bought a used digibox and found that it would not recognise my card until it had been reset.

I can't recall which buttons you have to hold in to reset the box, but if you Google for "reset Sky box" you'll find plenty of guidance.

Premium channels are locked to the specific box.

The other non premium channels can be viewed in any box with your card.

Sorry, no movies/sports unless sky re-pair your card to the spain box.

Only 1 pairing to box per card.

a family member did the same, bought a place in spain and now enjoys sky out there. he has sky multiroom (so has 2 boxes) and when he goes out to spain he just takes box #2 with him, complete with card, plugs it in, and hey presto. ok, so no good if you like travelling light, but it works a treat.
