Company loan, but personal credit search on director?

My limited company bought something on finance - but I've just seen that they performed a personal hard credit search on one of the directors. Is that something normal or can I can dispute it? Thank you.

You can’t dispute a search that’s not yours, no.0

Why are they looking to dispute it? When they, or the authorised representative signed the finance agreement it will have included clauses allowing them to conduct credit searches against the company directors, this is normal practice.flavianatill said:

Is there a personal guarantee for the loan from the Director?
It's your Ltd Co. Are you the Director they did a search on? If, not, where do you fit in to this, and who are the other people involved? This will help people understand and maybe provide more pertinent comments.0
