Hello everyone was due to travel to morecambe next week for a parkdean holiday. We booked this holiday in September when everything on the park was open and now half the park is closed. We eventually got through on the phone only to be told that cos the park was still open and we can still go (even though official guidelines are saying we shouldn't be travelling into a tier 3 area) so therefore they don't have to offer a refund! Any advice would be much appreciated thank u

  • If the park is open and able to honour your booking, they don't have to offer a refund.

As above. If they are open, you will be subject to local restrictions, but have no refund rights as this is not a regulated package.

  • You chose to book a holiday during a pandemic, when it was clear that some things wouldn't be available, that things were slowly going from okay to bad again and as such it's a risk you took.

Unfortunately it's not paid off, and you're not entitled to a refund or change of booking as the current situation is advice only.

The official guidelines saying dont travel to a T3 area is just that: a guideline. There is nothing legally stopping anyone leaving or entering.
