Landlord not fixing leaking garage roof

Hi, I need some advice please.
We reported to our letting agent in May 2020 that our garage roof is leaking and is basically leaking all over the workbench at the back of the garage and all over the floor and through the window at the back of the garage. The letting agent had a few people round for quotes and the whole garage roof needs replacing but since the quotes (July2020) we haven't had any idea when the roof is being fixed, constant emails back and fourth to get updates from the letting agent but the landlord still isn't fixing the roof! This can't be right what do we do and how can we escalate this further as we can't put anything in our garage in case it gets damaged.

Send a letter to the landlord through the letting agent. You need to establish if it is him causing the delays or them.0

ultimately you can "force" the LL to do repairs, but you MUST EXACTLY follow the process or the bill will be yours and yours alone
process is a matters of facts listed on several websites, here is one assuming you are in England (if not google your own bit of the UK)
