I recently applied and was accepted on the government boiler grant scheme.  The company concerned said it would be £600.00, then yesterday they said it would be £1000.00” for the same product.  Is the allowed that the costing can ? . Is any one able to advise. Thankyou

I recently applied and was accepted on the government boiler grant scheme.  The company concerned said it would be £600.00, then yesterday they said it would be £1000.00” for the same product.  Is this allowed that the costing can be changed , when I asked why the lady said she didn’t know other than they said as if Monday the price had changed  . Is any one able to advise. . Also the boiler that they said I could have is no longer on the companies website so I’m assuming this is old stock. Again is that allowed using stock not currently available. ( this is subjective ). Thankyou

They can quote any price they like, it's supply and demand just like the prize of pizzas in Tesco, petrol at Shell or Ryanair fares.  Often known as yo-yo pricing.

As long as you haven't signed a contract, the price can fluctuate to their heart's content.  Similarly the product, it mustn't be misdescribed or substituted.  Basically, if you like it you buy it, if you don't you go elsewhere.

BTW, this is the third similar thread you've started.  You can have a bit too much of a good thing !
