can’t seem to disconnect the button. Here is a clearer picture of my issue:

You've cut off the one bit of the picture that's relevant!! Here's your old picture below. If you look at the basket thing at the very bottom, There's a nut inside. Unscrew that to free the push button. It'll stay connected to the cable, but you can take some of the kinks/sharp bends out. HTHhopperdennis said:can’t seem to disconnect the button. There should be a push in type lever on the end of the button body, think you can see just sticking out between that basket and the the back off the cistern. You should be able to push that lever in to release the button body away from the push in unit.1
