Amazon Echo

Options
Hi
My elderly mother won an Amazon Echo in a prize draw. She has no internet access in her home.
Is there anything she can use the Echo for or do all the functions require internet access?

Thanks

  • If it's the same model as I have, then it will make a nice digital clock in any room.

You could use it as a Bluetooth speaker, although you'd still need the app and a wi-fi connection to do the pairing (but you could take it your house, do it there and bring it back), but of course there still needs to be something Bluetooth to make use of this (smartphone or whatever).

Failing that, you could prop a door open with it or use it as a paperweight  Or just sell it on, if you can't find a use for it yourself.
