Morning all
Bright and sunny here for the moment but rain due later, will get the pups to the park this morning before the rain comes.
DD has gone to the office today so I have a day alone which I secretly lovedd had an email yestrday saying they are hoping to complete on her house on thr 6th or 13th Nov, fingers crossed it will all go well and she will finally be shot of the evil ex, she will also be able to give us a bit of money each week then as she has not been abe to afford it while still paying for her mortgage, things should ease all round a bit.
I have a large gammon joint in the sc which should do us a few nights, tonight I will do a cheesy bean pie with it, and tomorrow some chips and an egg., it should also do a few sandwiches too.
DD and I are out on Friday (she has the day off) to see the bra ladies and then go into town and hopefully finish the xmas shopping, I want it all wrapped and ready before I go into hospital as I am not sure how much I will be able to do after.
Nan im glad your freeer is well stocked for your new lockdown, I hope you and Mr Fix it behave yourselves
Have good days all xx13 -
Morning all, grey and dull here. I had thought I might pop into town for a change - I haven't been on the bus for weeks and am getting fed up with the same thing day after day. Then I got a text to say a parcel is being delivered so that scuppered that . I thought it might be my last chance with the wrangling going on in GM, and Boris poised to act. We're not having much luck with our vehicles this week. The car is now fixed and running well but the work van has sprung a leak, & it's proving hard to get it seen to, the garage DH usually uses for it says it has such a backlog for MOT tests they can't fit it in yet. So it's parked up, just tricky getting all the tools in the car instead.I'd better get the bread going in the machine, seems to be being eaten quick at the mo. Not sure what's for tea, but the fajitas were wolfed down last night, and it used the wraps up too that were open. I need to use the Cyprus potatoes before my next veg delivery on Thursday.Dp1, sounds like a lovely walk with DGDEnjoy your day everyone x:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. Morning all.
The washing has almost finished its work in the machine and I want to get it out on the line for a bit of a blow before the weather changes.
RedRuby, let's hope that the sale of your daughter's house goes through smoothly and she can draw a thick, black line under that unhappy period of her life. You are very sensible to get all your preparations for the dreaded C word finished before your operation. You will be able to concentrate on your own well being without worrying about anything else.
Hope all goes well for everyone else today. I don't think we can look any further ahead than that.
THOUGHT FOR TODAY

Hi everyone
Just popping on to say that I made it to my sister's house on Sunday and stayed there for a couple of hours. It was so lovely to see her and her family and especially their lovely dog who remembered me although it had been several years since I had last seen him. Now I have been out once I will try again in a few weeks as my other sister wants me to go and see her new house which is directly opposite where I went. I feel quite the social butterfly
.
I am cooking a gammon for tea with roasties, cabbage and carrots and I will make a parsley sauce to go with it. This afternoon I will do some more wrapping up and then I want to finish knitting my lady gnome (gnomette?)
Lovely to hear how you are all getting on. Hope you have a great day, take care xx

Afternoon all, I'm late but I do have a noteI was up early awaiting an As*a delivery, only one item missing...... shortbread biscuits. I wanted them to go in a hamper for Dad's birthday but I can fill the gap with some zingy orange matchmakers instead (already bought ). There were a few subs, except the changed bread wasn't IYSWIM and they sent the original items (?). All shopping cleaned etc then we took Dad's goods up to him and stayed chatting for an hour. On the way home Mr Fix It saw one of his cousins, so they both stopped the cars and had a socially distanced chin wag. They talked for about 3/4 hrs non stop and they say women can talk, I could have walked home in that time as it wasn't far, but it was too cold and windy and I only had a thick cardi on ( plus I think it would have been rude )I am pleased that I now have a turkey crown in the freezer and a box of chocolate biscuits hidden away, that's my Xmas sorted then
I managed to get a few things which were on offer too so they are stashed away discretely....... I just have to keep my mits off now !!
This afternoon I need to put my stores away then I think it's feet up. Later as usual I will have to play the " what's for tea game ".... I should be a dab hand at that by nowTA perhaps I could be "just visiting " the bench, socially distanced of course. I shall not pass go nor collect £200Take care all, stay safe and keep well.nan xxFailure is simply the opportunity to begin again, but this time more intelligently11
